The Bathroom Kitchen Studio, Showers Oxford
We offer a wide range of showers and wet rooms from well-known manufacturers such as Mira, Aqualisa and Triton, with examples on display at our Kidlington showroom.Electric Showers
Electric showers have the advantage of heating their own water so are not dependent on hot water from a boiler or a tank. Their performance depends on their kilowatt rating; the showers we provide range from 7 to 10.8 kilowatts - the higher the rating, the better the flow!Power Showers
Power showers utilise a pump, and either a combination boiler or a pressurised cylinder. These types of showers use stored hot water or water from a heat exchanger for the hot supply and cold water delivered from the mains supply, or from a storage tank.
A popular configuration is to use cold water from a storage tank and hot water from a cylinder.
Our shower and wet rooms providers include:
These manufacturers provide showers that are reliable and safe. Flow can be regulated so as to provide adequate performance without high water usage. All the showers that we install are thermostatic adding safety and accurate temperature control to the showering experience. The same valves can be used on combination boilers and pressurised systems. If you are in doubt, please ask and we will gladly offer advice on the correct shower for you as well as installation in the Oxford, Abingdon and Banbury area.
Wet rooms use level access trays, low trays or formers embedded into the floor and either tiled or covered by vinyl type flooring. Wet floors can be used to give a minimal look, maximise the space available or provide level access to the less able. We prefer to use Impey, Wedi, Showerlux, Merlyn and Bristan for these types of installations.
We offer a wide range of shower screens and cubicles, including include wet floor panels that can simply be a sheet of glass to curved circular and linear screens. We are approved retailers for Showerlux, Bristan and Novellini products.
